African Leaders Malaria Alliance Fundraising Materials

Defeating malaria by engaging a continent of leaders

Heroic Change 2015
Each year Africa loses over $12 billion because of malaria. Sadly, this isn’t even the worst of it. Killing 596,000 people in Africa each year, mostly children under the age of five, malaria is a catastrophic threat to humanity.

The Africa Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) is a groundbreaking alliance of African Heads of State and Government working to achieve heroic change by ending malaria-related deaths in Africa by 2015. ALMA aligns its purpose and timetable with the Abuja Declaration, the targets of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, and the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) set forth by the United Nations. Because malaria is both a cause and consequence of poverty and illness, ALMA is working across county and regional borders in Africa to achieve near-zero deaths from malaria by 2015.

M Creative was commissioned by ALMA to develop messaging that would resonate with the corporations doing business in Africa, as well as high-wealth individuals who understand the importance of a healthy population to the future economic growth and well-being of Africa. With their support, African leaders are deeply engaged in the hands-on, pragmatic work necessary to stop the deadly scourge of malaria. In the process, ALMA is helping achieve the improvements in health, public policy, and private investment that will define the coming transformation of a continent on the verge of HEROIC CHANGE.

The brochure has been distributed worldwide, and is already in its third printing.
